The title is a joke, but the White Sox aren’t a very good team. They finished with the second worst record in the American League in 2013 with their (63-99) season. The Houston Astros finished with the worst overall record at (51-111).  The Miami Marlins were the only National League team that had a worse record in 2013 with their dismal (62-100) campaign.

There is a case for the White Sox to change their name to the Chicago Shitesox, but it obviously won’t happen. This screen grab from Friday’s White Sox vs Dodgers Cactus League game is just a coincidence, but it doesn’t make it any less hilarious:

Sorry about the quality.  I found the picture on Reddit’s /r/baseball, and it was a screen grab.  I didn’t  edit or crop anything out because I wanted to fully credit the user who submitted the post.

  • Fans in Houston wish your comment was correct, however the Lastros did lose a team record & MLB worst 113, including the last 15 to end the season!

    • Wow, I can’t believe that I missed that. I guess I assumed that they were a Quadruple A team… Just kidding! I have updated the piece with your 100% correct information. I’ll be sure to proofread better! Thanks Greg P Zachary!
