The legend of Puig continues.  Whether you decide Yasiel Puig is an all-star or not, he is still must see tv.  It seems each and every time he steps on the field we walk away amazed at a significant highlight that must be talked about.  As usual, he didn’t disappoint us.

Tonight’s super sensation was all about hustle.  That’s right, Yasiel Puig demonstrated his best Pete Rose version of “Charlie Hustle.”  The 22-year-old rookie hasn’t cheated an at-bat so far in the big leagues as he once again turns a routine single to center into an aggressive extra base hit.

Standing on second with no outs, Yasiel shows the world how to manufacture an early lead.  Adrian Gonzalez hits a one hopper down first base.  See what happens next.

Now, how many ball players in the majors are going to make that play?  In the fifth inning Puig bruised his left hip after running into the right-field wall making a catch.  Puig’s x-rays were negative and he is expected to be day-to-day.
