R.A. Dickey is offering a 30 minute pitching lesson for a great cause!

Baseball fans looking to learn the knuckleball will have a chance to be taught by one of the best in the business. R.A. Dickey will offer a 30 minute pitching lesson in which all proceeds will go to Shannon Forde, a long-time New York Mets employee that was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer. The package will also include watching batting practice, and four tickets to the game.

R.A. Dickey who was a great story himself this season, is a 2012 Cy Young candidate for the National League. It’s good to see him using his new-found fame for a good cause. There is much more the Mets are offering in hopes to raise money for Shannon Forde.
The Mets have organized a Nov. 1 fundraiser dinner at Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park, NJ. Admission to the dinner is $100, and guests can pay an additional $250 to have the chance to meet Daniel Murphy, Darryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden, John Franco, Bob Ojeda, Al Leiter, Edgardo Alfonzo, Ed Kranepool, Ed Charles and former New York Giants Super Bowl punter Sean Landeta.
