Ranking the divisions in baseball
6. National League West: The Los Angeles Dodgers (51-40, 20-10 in the last 30 games) have the talent to win it all and may take off soon. The San Francisco Giants (49-39, 12-18) have won two World Series in four years. It wouldn’t be shocking to see either one in the Fall Classic, but they seem streaky, which can be a problem over a long season. The bottom three teams really hurt this division. The offensively-challenged San Diego Padres (39-49, 12-18) are surprisingly in third place. The Colorado Rockies (37-52, 8-22), despite an MVP-caliber season from Troy Tulowitzki are having one of the worst skids of the season. The Arizona Diamondbacks (37-53, 14-16) have been injury-riddled and could have a major fire sale.
