  • Nicholas Persichilli

Today is the day! Texas Rangers’ second base prospect and Seattle Seahawks’ Super Bowl Champion quarterback Russell Wilson has arrived at Rangers’ Spring Training.

RBTS reported last week that Wilson would be attending Rangers camp. As you can see from his Instagram photo, he has arrived.

Wilson will be in uniform for today’s Cactus League game against the Cleveland Indians. He will also be participating in a team workout before the game.

Here are some pictures that the Texas Rangers tweeted out from today’s workout:

MLB FanCave has an action shot of Wilson fielding a grounder:

He seems to be having fun. He even got to meet up with Hall of Famer Peter Gammons:

Richard Durrett of ESPN reported that Wilson will not be given an opportunity to hit, per Rangers’ manager Ron Washington. If he gets into game action, playing the field, we’ll have the footage for you. Keep checking us out at Reading Between the Seams for all of your baseball news!
