Was Robinson Cano really safe?

  • RBTS Staff

During the bottom of the second inning of the ALCS against the Detroit Tigers, Robinson Cano had the bases loaded with a chance to knock in a couple runs to take an early lead. Cano would hit a bullet back to the pitcher, except the ball ricochet off pitcher Doug Fister’s wrist perfectly into the glove of shortstop Jhonny Peralta. Despite the fortuitous bounce into Peralta’s glove, he still had to fire a rocket to first base in order to get Robinson Cano out.

Robby Cano, who you will never hear the words speed or hustle associated with his his name, actually got down the line and appears to have beaten the throw.
