WATCH: Dustin Pedroia makes game saving plays against Tampa Bay Rays

On Monday Night against the Tampa Bay Rays, Boston Red Sox 2B Dustin Pedroia fit the part of Superman with everything but the cape.  After knocking in 2 runs in the first, he then made a then game-saving awkward play on a strange pop-up on the infield as well as a charge play on a Sam Fuld bunt.  Both plays were with 2 outs and the go-ahead or winning run crossing the plate for the Rays (courtesy of

Later, Pedroia knocked a single in the 10th inning, stole 3rd with 1-out, then scored the go-ahead run which didn’t stand up at the time, however the Sox won the marathon match in the 14th against their AL East rivals.  With division battles like this, it’s going to be a fun summer.
