Redskins use helicopter to dry practice field

The Redskins woke up this morning to a soaked practice field, thanks to heavy rain last night. Since the Redskins know just how costly  a poor playing surface can be, they quickly moved to dry their field so their players would be able to participate in today’s training camp activities on the safest possible playing field. But, how can a 100-yard football field be quickly dried?

Glad you asked.

The answer, it turns out, is by helicopter. According to USA Today, chopper pilot Whit Baldwin brought in his helicopter and dried the Redskins’ field, free of charge. Check out the time-lapse video of Baldwin’s heroics:
