Scott Steiner says WWE Legends deal isn’t worth it
At the San Diego Comic-Con this year, legendary WCW/WWE/TNA star Scott “Big Poppa Pump” Steiner was interviewed and asked about whether or not he’d agree to a WWE legends deal, which would allow the company to use his likeness for merchandise and for Steiner to obtain royalties from it. Steiner did not seem enthusiastic about the idea.
“Well, I’ve been asked for a Legends contract,” said Steiner. “Unfortunately, my lawyer explained to me that it’s not worth the paper it’s written on.”
Steiner and the WWE have not been on great terms since his release from the company in 2004. That might have something to do with his comments about now WWE COO Triple H in terms of performance enhancing drugs.
Needless to say that Scott Steiner probably won’t wind up in the WWE again any time soon. It seems like he has no interest, and even if he did I feel as though Triple H wouldn’t be interested in bringing him in either.
What do you think? Would you want to see Scott Steiner back in the WWE? Or have we seen the last of “Big Poppa Pump”?
