Rob Gronkowski has third operation on forearm for infection
According to NFL sources, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski underwent a third a surgery for an infection on the forearm he broke more than once during the 2012-2013 season.
Gronkowski fist broke his forearm November 18th in a game against the Colts, and has since had it operated on a total of three times. He missed five regular season games, returned for the Patriots playoff win over the Texans, but re-injured the same forearm in that game. However, Gronkowski is not expected to miss any time because of the surgery for the infection.
Gronk came under fire earlier this month after a videotape of him giving a buddy a drunken body slam in a Vegas club surfaced. We’ve come to expect the 23 year old to enjoy his youth and fame off the field, but let’s hope his recent string of injuries and surgeries get his mind back to football.
