Saints sign paralyzed football player on his graduation day
Former Tulane safety Devon Walker was paralyzed in 2012 while making a tackle in a game against Tulsa. Some two years later, Walker has overcome the longest of odds to graduate with his degree in cell and molecular biology. But that’s not the only special thing that took place on his graduation day.
The New Orleans Saints, in a unique display of compassion, signed Walker. He attended their rooke mini-camp, and thought he was going to lunch afterwards. Instead, the Saints made him a part of the team. A truly special day for a special kid. Congratulations Devon!
