There are some fierce rivalries throughout the NFL today. This is a list of Sports-Kings Top 5 best rivalries still burning today. Enjoy!

5. Buffalo Bills / Miami Dolphins

Being as I am from Western NY, I had to give a shout-out to one of the great home town rivalries. This rivalry is near and dear to me and I know it very well. Nothing gets Buffalo Bills fans going bat shit crazy better than an infamous, “SQUISH THE FISH” chant. Twice a year you get the enjoyment of these words ringing throughout upstate NY. Beginning in the days of Jim Kelly and Dan Marino, this rivalry is no joke and neither are the fans. Bills fans take this stuff SERIOUSLY. With the current emergence of the Bills being an AFC contender and the Miami Dolphins slowly progressing, this match-up will continue to live on.

4. The NFC East

Since the beginning of the NFL, the NFC East has been one of the toughest divisions in football. With the division containing multiple legendary rivalries, I couldn’t just pick one.  You could pick any two teams from the NFC East and have yourself a great rivalry.  This division is consistently causing headaches for the other NFC Conference contenders.

3. The NFC North

Like the NFC East, the NFC North has always been one of the best divisions in the NFL. Anytime you hear of two of these teams playing one another, you’re tuning in.  With three of the oldest organizations in the NFL it’s no surprise that these teams have developed a hatred for each other.  Filled with solid defense and explosive offense, this division is only getting better in current years and I don’t foresee it changing any time soon.

2. Indianapolis Colts/ New England Patriots

Although most rivalries begin within a specific division, this one began during the most wonderful time of the year. No, I’m not talking about Christmas; I’m talking about NFL play-off time. Since 2000, these two teams have fought for AFC dominance year in and year out. 2 AFC Championships and 1 Divisional Championship later, Peyton Manning and the Colts: 1 Super Bowl Championship, Tom Brady and the Patriots: 3. If you love shoot-outs, this rivalry tops them all.

1. Pittsburgh Steelers / Baltimore Ravens

Steel Curtain vs. Ravens Defense; a battle for the ages. Not only are these two teams’ inner division rivals but also fierce AFC playoff rivals. These AFC North contenders are both known for their stingy defense and hard-hitting battles on the gridiron. Now with the addition to some key offensive weapons on the respective teams, the tide is starting to change for this rivalry but if you desire some hard hits and great defense, this match-up is for you.
