Top bets for NFL Week 3

While nothing beats watching sports, sometimes you need something extra to make even the most meaningless games exciting. Millions of Americans spend their weekends betting on the NFL. If you’re looking for an edge during this week’s action, you have come to the right place. Why not let the Sports-Kings guide you into three easy victories during this weekend. Here are my top 3 bets for the NFL Weekend:

Expect Aaron Rodgers to break 400 yards again this weekend against the Bengals (Credit: Blogs.E-rockford.com)

The Green Bay Packers (-3) over the Cincinnati Bengals: For some reason, the -3 seems like an obvious choice for anyone looking to make a bet this weekend. Yes, the Packers lost week one to the 49ers, but they were in that game until the end. Last week, Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers looked like they were back in Super Bowl form as they dismantled the Redskins 38-20. Rodgers ended the day with 4 touchdowns and 480 yards. I see this game as a great bet for two reasons, the Bengals will not be able to stop Aaron Rodgers and they are coming off of a short week. If Jay Cutler was able to hang up 242 yards and 2 touchdowns on the Bengals defense, I suspect Rodgers will be able to surpass the 400-yard mark again. After playing on Monday night, I expect the Bengals will have even less time to prepare for the Packers potent offense. Plus, if given the choice, I would rather bet on Aaron Rodgers, Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson. I expect the Packers to win by at least a touchdown and improve to 2-1 on the season.

Trusting in Matt Ryan should lead to an easy victory over the Dolphins on Sunday (Credit: blog.betdsi.com)

The Atlanta Falcons (+1) over the Miami Dolphins: This game makes me wonder why the Falcons are getting points, but I will take them and win in the end. Yes, the Dolphins are 2-0. And, yes they beat the Indianapolis Colts last week, but they also struggled to put away the Cleveland Browns in week one. This is another game where I have to ask which offense I trust to score more points. Even with Steven Jackson being sidelined for a few weeks, I have to believe Matt Ryan and the Falcons have the more high powered offense. I trust Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and Roddy White more than I do Ryan Tannehill and Mike Wallace. While I think this might be a close game, in the end, I think the Falcons eek this one out with a late game field goal. Since I am getting 1 point in this bet, I have to take it and trust Matty Ice and the Falcons will be able to out-score the Ryan Tannehill led Miami Dolphins.

The Over 49 in the Detroit Lions vs Washington Redskins game: The Washington Redskins currently rank 32nd, or dead last, in the NFL in total yards allowed per game at 511.5 yards per game. The Redskins are also the 31st ranked team in points allowed per game allowing 35.5 points over their first two games. At the same time, the Redskins offense is currently 6th in the league at 402 yards per game. In addition, the Detroit Lions are currently 8th in total yards per game at 395.5. This should show you why this is a great bet for week 3 of the NFL season. As Robert Griffin III gets more accustom to being back on the field, I expect the Redskins offense to continue to boom. Neither team is known for their defense prowess and both have high powered offenses. I expect both teams to pass the ball often on Sunday and the final score should easily surpass 50 total points. Furthermore, of the Redskins first two games, both have broken the 50 point mark (60 & 58). The Lions broke the 50 point mark in week one (58) and fell just 4 points shy (46) last week. Sunday’s game between the pair should feature plenty of points.
