It is no secret that fantasy football has consumed the majority of football fans across the country. But for 98 percent of fantasy participants, they realize it’s just a fun game at the end of the day. However, like anything, the two percent often ruin it for the majority as they do, or say something that is completely inappropriate.
Following the Baltimore Ravens thrilling victory over the Detroit Lions, wide receiver Torrey Smith took to Twitter to express his disgust with the tweets he had been receiving regarding fantasy football.
I hate y’all fantasy folks who are tweeting me about your fake team…y’all make me sick…Ravens win that’s all that matters to me

This was a huge week in fantasy football as many leagues are playing for the right to go to “their” championship game. Most leagues don’t play week 17 because teams often rest their starters by that point. The only fantasy star in the Ravens game against the Lions last night was kicker Justin Tucker who had six field goals including the game winner from 61 yards out for the Ravens. There probably was some backlash for Smith because many people were relying on Smith’s productivity to help them advance in their leagues. Very selfish, but that’s the world we have crafted with social media and fantasy sports.
