As the San Francisco Giants hosted the San Diego Padres Tuesday night, Angel Pagan made a tremendous diving catch, which turned into a phenomenal double play. In the top of the eighth inning of a 2-2 ballgame, San Diego’s Carlos Quinten came to the plate with Chase Headley on first base and one out. Quinten sent a line shot to deep left center. Giants center fielder Angel Pagan was on his horse and made a spectacular diving catch. What was just as phenomenal as the catch itself was the way that Pagan jumped up and fired the ball back into the infield. Shortstop Brandon Crawford received the throw from Pagan and fired a perfect relay to first baseman Brandon Belt. Chase Headley was doubled off to end the inning. Folks, this is one of the plays of the year!

The San Francisco Giants would go on to win the game in the bottom of the ninth inning on a walk-off single by Brandon Crawford, who knocked in Brandon Belt. What a night for Pagan, Crawford and Belt. Congrats, gentlemen.
