For every sensational play made by L.A Dodgers center fielder Yasiel Puig, there is something to show that he is still an undisciplined superstar with some growing up do.
It happened again in the top of the eighth inning today when Albert Pujols taught the young phenom a lesson on base running. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, the Dodgers’ Orange County neighbors, held a 5-0 lead when Josh Hamilton hit a fly ball to dead center with Albert Pujols on first. Puig caught up to it and made the routine catch; but watch what Pujols does to show up Puig:
The best part of the #Angels‘ win had to be Pujols tagging up from 1B on Puig. Even Mattingly looked like he appreciated that one.

You have to love how Pujols, who by no means is a threat on the bases, just checked Puig by tagging up on that fly ball. But that’s not all he did; watch Albert mock Puig between innings:
We can officially call Yasiel Puig a lollygagger! As the great NBA analyst, Mark Jackson would say. “Yasiel Puig, you’re better than that!”
