Talk about a prayer from the heavens. Terrence Ross see the clock winding down and figures.. heck, I’ll just chuck it up and see what happens.
Well, watch and see what happened.
Ross recognizes the clock and heaves up a shot from beyond halfcourt that catches more air than a 757. This ball has a crazy amount of arc and doesn’t even need the benefit of the backboard to splash in for three.
Ross connects on this trick shot with no time remaining in the first quarter of play on Sunday night, and pushes the Raptors lead to 30-20 over the Lakers at Staples Center.
This shot gets little love as it’s overshadowed by the return of Kobe Bryant. The Raptors, who had just dealt Rudy Gay to the Sacramento Kings prior to the game, went on to spoil Kobe’s first game back, as they won 106-94 on the road.
Amir Johnson finished with 32 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Ross ended up with 11 points, and DeMar DeRozan had 26 in the win.
