Wade: Rajon Rondo’s Foul “A Punk Play”

Late in the fourth quarter of tonight’s season opener between the Heat and Celtics, after the Heat had all but won, Rajon Rondo grabbed Dwyane Wade on his way to the basket, and was called for a flagrant foul. When asked about the play after the game, Wade had this to say:

“It was a punk play…He clotheslined me”

Ray Allen was the first player to accompany Wade after the play, and you can probably imagine he said something like, “See what I mean?”

Here is footage of the play, which occurred with 17 seconds left in the fourth quarter:

It will be interesting to see if the league office gives Rondo a call about this play, and this is probably just the beginning of many intense battles between these two teams.
