“Washed up” Ovechkin recaptures NHL goal lead

As I have often said this season, Washington Capitals Captain Alexander Ovechkin is far from washed up. It just so happens on a night where the top two goals scorers in the league, Ovechkin and Steven Stamkos, face off I was in attendance to watch one player struggle to find the back of the net while the other took over the NHL goal scoring lead on a nifty goal. See for yourself, this goal is by the same player that just a month ago NBC Sports analyst Mike Milbury stated, “He’s gotta’ get to be a good player again, right now he’s just average.”  Well, if average is 27 goals (1st), 19 assists (49th) and 46 points (5th) in 42 games is average, then I guess we can consider the NHL to be sub-par.
