He's Back!

Sitting tied with the Baltimore Orioles for the American League East lead, and coming off of a series win over the heavy hitting Texas Rangers, the Tampa Bay Rays (14-8) are making moves. According to MLB the Rays have signed Hideki Matsui to a minor league deal. The 37 year-old Japanese legend is ready for his return and should add some veteran leadership and presence in the Rays clubhouse. Matsui spent most of his MLB career with the New York Yankees and played last season with the Oakland A’s. The man known as “Godzilla” has a .285 career batting average with 173 home runs.
