With all the fanfare that only college football can bring, Week 14 caps off with the conference championship weekend. This year Oklahoma, Alabama, and Clemson are all in the hunt to bag consecutive conference championships as the heavy betting favorites at the sportsbooks, but what makes 2016 interesting is that an upset could throw a wrench in the teams participating in the College Football Playoff. If you’re looking for the odds on this weekend’s games, you can find betting news at

While three of the four spots in the College Football Playoff seem to be clinched by the teams mentioned, the fourth berth is up for grabs. To get a clearer picture of things, keep reading to get the lowdown on the top teams that may make it to the Playoff.

What: Alabama Crimson Tide vs Florida Gators

When: Saturday, December 03, 2016

Start Time: 4:00 PM ET

Stadium: Georgia Dome

Spread: Alabama -24

Moneyline: Alabama -2000 vs Florida +1175

Game Total: 40.5

After demolishing Auburn in the Iron Bowl last weekend, the Crimson Tide heads into this game as the 24-point favorites to defeat Florida in the SEC Championship game. Even if by some freak turn of events the Tide happens to lose this game, they should have their spot in the College Football Playoff secure because of their undefeated record and of how they’ve performed overall this year (not to mention that they have Jalen Hurts a Heisman Trophy contender in his own right).

What: Oklahoma State Cowboys vs Oklahoma Sooners

When: Saturday, December 03, 2016

Start Time: 12:30 PM ET

Stadium: Memorial Stadium

Spread: Oklahoma -11

Moneyline: Oklahoma -415 vs Oklahoma State +345

Game Total: 76

Oklahoma is 8-0 SU in conference play and though this game isn’t officially the Big 12 Championship, winning over the Cowboys would essentially bag them the conference. Now, the Sooners would possibly only make it to the top four if both Clemson and Washington lose this weekend because if they do it’s not likely they’ll earn a spot in the Playoff.

What: Clemson Tigers vs Virginia Tech Hokies

When: Saturday, December 03, 2016

Start Time: 8:00 PM ET

Stadium: Camping World Stadium

Spread: Clemson -10

Moneyline: Clemson -435 vs Virginia Tech +365

Game Total: 59

For Clemson to make it to the Playoff, all the Tigers need do is beat Virginia Tech in the the ACC Championship game. This year Clemson in 11-1 with a sole loss against Pittsburgh, 43-42. Because of the Tigers’ wins over Louisville and Florida State (and likely the conference title), it’s likely you’ll see them in the Playoff.

What: Colorado Buffaloes vs Washington Huskies

When: Saturday, December 03, 2016

Start Time: 9:00 PM ET

Stadium: Levi’s Stadium

Spread: Washington -8

Moneyline: Washington -340 vs Colorado +285

Game Total: 54.5

Washington is one of the teams that may have the edge of making it to the Playoff if they defeat the Buffaloes in this game. If they do, their only loss against a ranked team (USC) and the Pac-12 championship might sway the committee into moving them in the top-four.

And what about Ohio State? The Buckeyes defeated Michigan, Wisconsin (a title participant) and the likely Big 12 Champion Oklahoma. Also, their only loss was against Penn State that lost two of its games. It’s more than likely you’ll see Ohio State in the Playoff.
