What Are the Best Bets for the Remainder of the MLS Season? 87

The MLS season isn’t set to end until December 2020, with the MLS Cup scheduled to begin on December 12th. As a result, there is plenty of quality left from a betting perspective. In many ways, the fixtures have only heightened the anticipation for the rest of the calendar since this term has been incredibly unpredictable. Plus, the addition of new teams – Inter Miami CF and Nashville SC – means that there’s plenty to consider when placing a wager.

As always, the question is – what’s the best bet?

The race to the playoffs

The playoffs are what every fan dream of when the MLS season officially starts. To see your team playing against the best from the Eastern and Western conferences is thrilling because it could result in the ultimate aim – to be crowned MLS Cup champions.

Seattle Sounders FC are the defending champions and the team to beat again this year with a 13% chance of glory, yet Philadelphia Union, Columbus Crew SC, Toronto FC, and LAFC are all hot on their tails with an 11% percentage. With ratios this close, it’s impossible to tell who will be victorious, which is why it’s such a good bet.

Higuain to score

Higuain took some time to score his first goal in the MLS for Inter Miami, which was pretty astonishing when you consider his stats. In Europe, the best place for footballers, the Argentine was viewed as one of the deadliest marksmen thanks to his record of 273 goals for five of huge clubs in Italy, Spain and England.

With that in mind, it’s not against the odds that he will continue firing, and when he does, you’ll rue the PayPal casino opportunity you passed up because you thought he was old and over the hill. Once Miami gets their rhythm, Higuain should be back to his goal-scoring best.

A Nashville shutout

Nashville’s inaugural season in the Eastern Conference hasn’t been spectacular, but head coach Gary Smith likes what he sees. After all, the Tennessee outfit are 8th in the division, only two points off the playoff places.

This is mainly due to their defensive qualities as Nashville SC have set a record for an expansion team – they have conceded 14 goals in 15 matches to become one of the stingiest franchises in Major League Soccer.

With only eight fixtures remaining, it would be wrong to bet against them letting in more than twenty goals for the regular season. At this pace, they may not concede another until next year!

Henry to leave Montreal Impact?

Nobody likes to bet on speculation that a person will lose their job, not when livelihoods are on the line. But there’s no doubt that Montreal fans were expecting more when they announced the signing of French football legend, Thierry Henry.

Ultimately, Henry’s side has flattered to deceive, with the former Arsenal and Barcelona player having the second-worst record for an Impact coach after twenty games. Like Nashville, Montreal aren’t far from the playoffs, so a couple of good results could transform their season. However, if it goes the other way, the unthinkable might happen and Henry could have to leave with his tail between his legs.

As always, there’s a ton of value in the MLS if you’re willing to search for it!
