The Cavs and Jazz have made completed a four player trade.
Utah receives: Carrick Felix (33rd overall pick 2013), future 2nd round draft pick and $1 million in cash.
Cleveland receives: John Lucas III, Malcolm Thomas and Erik Murphy
Why did the Cavs pull the trigger on this trade? All three contracts they received are non guaranteed deals.
In Murphy, Lucas and Thomas, Cavs get three non-guaranteed contracts to facilitate trades — or a trade. Another step toward Kevin Love.

The Cavs have been in pursuit of non guaranteed contracts in order to flip them and send them straight to the Wolves, in a deal involving Kevin Love. The Cavs may not be able to officially trade Wiggins for another 30 days, but they can come to an agreement, and get through the paperwork at a later time. The plot thickens NBA fans.
