After 16 years and 1,161 NHL games, Phoenix Coyotes captain Shane Doan finally got a hat trick, scoring three goals in the Coyotes’ 5-1 win over the Islanders on January 7^th, 2012. It was a long overdue achievement that came in dramatic fashion:Doan’s third goal of the game came with only 00:00.1 seconds left on the clock.
