According to ESPN and numerous other outlets Baron Davis has agreed to terms with the New York Knicks. Davis cleared waivers and could sign the contract with the Knicks as early as today. Baron Davis was the latest victim of the new amnesty rule, and certainly will help shore up a weak crop of guards the New York Knicks have right now.
Davis, 32, is recovering from a bulging back disc but could eventually take over the starting point guard job in New York. The Knicks now seemed primed to eventually be one of the top dogs in the Eastern conference if Davis comes back healthy.
It’s unclear when exactly Baron Davis will return to the hardwood, but early reports indicated he will be back sooner than expected.
